Best place for a cheap deal on a holiday

looking to book me up for a bit of sun in september / early october

ideally in cyprus

Wheres best to look? Should I wait until closer the time>

I work in travel.

Last minute deals are a complete lie, you end up getting the crap what is left over. If you go somewhere like here - www.skyscanner.net you will find the cheapest flight.
If you go here www.hotels4u.com they have a lot of accommodation, and the markup is tiny.

That is what I would do to arm yourself with a rough price, then call up any travel agent to see what they want to sell it to you at. If you are looking for something cheap - Cyprus is not the place to go. Try Egypt this year the Hilton in Sharks bay costs about £350 for a week (accommodation only for 2 people) and easyjet fly there from Gatwick, Luton and Manchester

The last few holidays we have been on we found it cheaper actually going into a travel agents than booking online (except for new york where we booked everything individually).
The agents were happier to give free child places when face to face than via a website etc.

Make sure you have an idea of what kind of price the holiday should be first, a travel agent can sell you a holiday for whatever price they like!
