Over a grand for a "Vauxhall" bumper
That's what took me by surprise, but it does make sense when you think about it, which shows the Masserati is within reason.
Why are they doing, refloating the Titanic just to get it over?
Then again, wouldn't hold my breath for it if thats the case.
When there aren't any in the country and demand is potentially high they can charge what they want regardless of what it actually costs them to make and ship.
I knew I'd be bent over and done up the bum hole with regards to body parts. Mechanical parts are cheap though as they come from the US.

I'm trying to figure out what would cost more, 15k per/y at 15mpg or the ongoing servicing / running costs..... I bet the numbers are rather close together!
They were not trying. At the last meet did everyone not overtake you.
A regular Cayman maybe on the straights, an M3 or Cayman S no chance if they were actually trying.
So unless you've stripped your Soarer and pulled about 300kg out of it, got an incredible suspension setup or your a Schumacher behind the wheel I feel they simply thought you were someone in a grand tourer moving along at pace and just decided to cruise along with you.

Peerzy - You've only just got the Porsche, how about you learn to drive it and get the most from it chassis because the Maser is a completely different kettle of fish and would cost substancially more to run in servicing, repairs etc. remember you have a 2yr OPC warranty and the Boxster S is a far superior handling car.

No Gibbo, the Monaro is mechanically perfect it's just that somebody in a carpark cliped the bumper and tore the corner off and then coming out of a pub down a steep drive with a car full of passengers the bumper hit the road and caused more bumper damage. It's currently in for repair at Stratstone .

Hardly a reason to sell!
Buy the Maser if you want style, finesse and a lot of female attention.
Keep the Monaro if you want something different and something you can easily modify and get huge BHP from with big mechanical reliability.
Thats not the reason I'm selling. I'm selling simply to own a Maser for 12 months. I'm not going into massive effort to sell the Monaro, if it doesn't go on PH before the Maser sells then I'll pull the advert and carry on chasing big power in the Monaro. Just seems like a good oppertunity to own a Ferrari powered GT car.

Have to admit I'm surprised @ those looking to swap to the Maser, considering they've not had had their cars long (5mins in Peerzy's case).
Surely if you were that 'happy' with your cars, you wouldn't be looking to change (and loose a load of money in the process), tempting though DM's offer is.
I looked at 4200s before I bought the M5 and even though I feel like I'm spending money like water on the car, thoughts about running the Maserati make me wince. But then I probably wouldn't take advantage of DM having had a couple of beers and holding him to his 6 month warranty.
If however, you've done some serious research, you know what these 4200s are worth, you know how they are performing in the market, you reckon you can make some money on the car in the next 6-12 months and you've got some emergency money in the kitty, well by all means go for it

Me either. I'm sure DM would be good to his word but I wouldn't feel comfortable going back with an issue 5 months after a private purchase. Private sales are very much a case of caveat emptor as far as I'm concerned.
