OK firstly, dont get me wrong, the ST has been fantastic. Got it upto 300BHP with a few minor mods [well £2k] if you can call that minor. It has been great fun and never failed to bring a smile to my face but, im after something more.

Natural progression would be the RS but, a 300BHP ST is more than capable against a standard RS trust me. Some im thinking along the lines of M3 or Porka.
Problem is i do not want to go for a 996 and a Turbo is a must.

Budget is 20-30k plus the ST (FFSH and 40k miles so 8kish]

What should i be looking at? Not interested in Jap although, we do have a deal with Nissan coming up (GTR :) )????

Your thoughts?

Oh and kids are not a issue as the mrs has a car for that stuff.

Does that mean the red bulls are going to be Nissan badged next year (Well they basically are now!)? R34 GTR V-Spec. Forget that german garbage. Like a Boss.

TBH other than a M3 or M5 the whole BMW thing im done with, far to heavy, although very powerful and capable. My 330 Cci was great fun but not very involving.

Well technically, we already are, Renault have a big tie in with Nissan and Infinity are now onboard. By the way, the Infinity's are horendous (well the 4x4 FX60 i drove was)

Plus the ST, so max 38k?

OP, either you want to spend 30k+ or you dont. As LiE said, thats quite a range.

Oh and you can't compare a 330ci to an M3/5.

The 330Cic was on M3 suspension and BBS LM's ok it didnt have the all out grunt of a M3 but it handled well.

If you like chopping and changing, then try an E46 M3 / Z4M, that'd be a useful step up...

If you'd rather spend all your budget on a car you'd keep for longer, then the E92 M3 has got to be worth a look...

There was a buying guide for the M6 in last month's evo.

Seriously temping proposition if you don't need 4 doors. Never knew the M6 has a CF roof like the m3 CSL.
