Well, i tried the iron sights on the AUG, pretty good particularly in cqb. Even at distance i managed a few decent long range kills. Switched on the lightweight perk as well, movement is so much quicker.

It's the way forwards with that one. I'm going with the recon/shottie combo at the moment and each round you can rack up loads of points! I'm flying through my current rank at this rate.

I'm going to start with the 870 soon, after I hit bronze with everything (trying to get a feel for every gun).

how does anyone think a 4870 with a quad core would handle BC2?
i tried the game a few months back with a dual core and it wasnt very enjoyable :( but ive read the game is more reliant on a decent cpu?

be fine just dont go overtop with graphics

my 4850 could play it at 1680 maxxed never dropped below 60fps so id play at 1680

A quad will certainly help, 4870 is pretty comparable to a gtx 275, which i used to run, (had sli 275's as well). Youll have to play with a bit less aa and maybe lower a few settings. Ive even played it on a single 8800gt, but that meant dropping the res to 1680x1050, still played fine.

Nam is ok, but theres far too many choke points on the maps, it can become very one sided. Obviously, due to the setting, the weapons and kits are a bit limited compared to vanilla bc2, no fancy scopes, red dots etc. Though if you fancy a change, at £3.40 its a pretty good deal.
