from a 6870 to a 6950 ?

Hi all

A quick one. My sons GTS250 is goosed so will replace it with my HD6870 and this is the question..

Do i get myself a 6950 which starts about £30 more than getting just another 6870.

Oh and whats the advanatge of the 1Gb over the 2Gb in terms of performance ?

I have put in a 6970 if you can get 6950 ref version 1 you can overclock to the 6970 and save £50..

It's simple.

They don't have any.

You can still overclock the current 2GB 6950's you're just unlikely to have much luck unlocking them to a 6970.
