New XBMC/Win7 HTPC - Picture Heavy!!

Really nice build and actually quite inspiring as I am looking to build my own machine too.

I wouldn't really be too fussed about the SSD or Blu Ray for that matter so that would bring it well under £200.

Ideally what I am after is things like iPlayer and other on demand TV streams via my pc. I don't really know an awful lot about media PCs etc...would something like this be suitable for streaming web content like that?

I would probably run a stock linux such as Mint LXDE.

How are you ruinning XBMC btw? Live or boot from windows? If so how? eventghost to the remote?
Im going to be getting that case with some other gear, very tempted to put in a low profile tv card, if such a thing exists

Very nice case that m8 been searching for it but can only find one place that does it and their out of stock.

Can you please pm me the place you got it from cos this is something I've been after for quite some time.

Cheers Lord Alibaski

XMBC boots from Win7. As for the remote, it pretty much worked from the box. Not the best remote by any stretch but for a few quid it does the job fine. Tried evenghost again but not had much luck with it so resorted back the the vanilla setup with some aditional keys mapped by adding some code (found on XBMC forums) for a few extra keys.

PM you a while ago. Did you get the case? Thoughts. I'm finding now with the average British Summer now upon us, it does get a bit warm in there. Ideal for the likes of an i3 2100t or Zacate but not much more!

Yeah thanks for the pm m8 after looking at it again tho and measuing it up where it was going to go on the tv stand it was a tad just to deep for the stand.

The dimensions on this are

W D H
338mm x 420mm x 95mm

The width and height were fine what we lack was the depth on our stand.

W D H
420mm x 350mm x 270mm
