I love your new racing line what mods do you have on that F40 ??? because you must be a beast on GT5 if that car is near stock to go from 12th to 1st even with the new and improved racing line .

I use the Scuderia and its much faster to cut them.

I was originally using the Scuderia, its easier to use as well.

My lap times with the Enzo are around 3:14 ish so which is a fair few seconds quicker for me personally.

Yeah with the Scud im getting 3:28 on a perfect lap, but in the Enzo im getting 3:15 ish, however it is a real pig in the corners. Scud is a much nicer drive imo.

Yeah I totally agree, when I make a mistake with the Enzo it tends to be very costly, with the Scud I can relax and enjoy the ride more.

If I wasn't grinding for maximum money I would be using the Scuderia

id say non at the min, as it could be other things causing it.


UCD was done via an update so its possible one of the files from the updates has gone wrong - i dont think the reinstall via the GT5 menu deletes the updates, so that might not fix it

It might be worth doing it via the XMB, goto Game > Game Data Utility. Then delete the GT5 listing - that will delete the game install and the updates.

You would need to reinstall and redownload the updates etc - but it will save you the hassle from the reformat and losing everyting

Even after a quick reformat and restoring my data (without the gt5 game data installed), then load the game with the 6 updates... it's still doing it!

Stupid game.

The only thing I havn't tried is a Full Format, I'm not sure I can be bothered to wait 12 hours for the hard drive to format though.

My F40 is spec'd as follows:-

Body/Chassis - Stage 3 weight reduction, Rigid improvement, window weight reduction.
Engine - Stage 3 and Sports ECU
Intake - Racing Air Filter and Sports Manifold
Exhaust - Titanium, sports exhuast manifold and sports cat
Turbo - Stage 3 Turbo Kit
Gearbox - Full customisable
Drivetrain - Twin Clutch, Semi racing flywheel, carbon shaft and full cust LSD
Suspension - Fully custom
Tyres - Racing Soft

Custom setup. I just playerd with the gear box and made the last 2 gears about 10% longer this enables a higher max speed which is ideal for the loooooooooooooong straight

The buick is like a fast heavy shed on wheels, interesting to drive

The Micra is so light its unreal, very twitchy

Finished the GT500 races last night, really enjoyed those with my '97 TOMS Supra. I hadn't used it in a while, and I'd forgotten just how much fun it is

I just doing the Extreme Series "Super GT" races now.

The toyota 7 Race Car is fun and evenly matched against the AI.

Oh and now I have just noticed that loads of the icons for the cars in my garage are missing, I can get them back by pressing triangle and create thumbnail, but I don't want to have to do that for 50 cars!!!!

I'm not full formatting, I'm probably not even going to put GT5 in my PS3 ever again. How can a game 7 years in the making have a broken dealership and total icon fail... and have "the entertainer" as the music in auto.

I have this problem when transporting data from my Mums house (My main GT5 Account) to my Dads where as soon as I upload the data the game takes 25mins to load up and ages to do anything!! All car icons were missing or incorrect (Chapparall 2D icon showing a 458??) and the game is Fully installed. Used the other GT5 disk from Mums and the same problem occurs. Ring up Polyphony and ask them, might send you some free stealth codes

What's really bugging me is how long it takes to load my garage, particularly in online races. Last night it was frozen for so long I missed a couple of races, it just sat there for five minutes with that stupid loading icon throughout a race and change of track, I ended up rage quitting the game, three times and ended up missing out on some really good racing.

Although before all this I did manage a kart race of Nurburg. I highly recommend this.

Erghghh! Just phoned up Playstation about my console having realllyy slow loading times for every game and XMB menu (5-10mins just to open my inbox!), basically they said I've got corrupt data and need to do a full restore! 7Hours and 1 minute till its done :/ And I think I forgot to back up my GT5 data :S

"corrupt data", sounds like bull doo-doo to me, that's call-centrese for "I don't have a clue and we don't want to waste time actually helping you"

Did a little fettling last night and it just seems that its the 20mil Ferarri car and the two F1 type cars at the end of the dealership list that crashes my game... was able to buy every Ferrari up to the 20mil one (ran out of credits) but when I scrolled onto it, it didn't load and game crashed. Havn't had it happen on any other dealership though... Watch this space.
