Looking for a car cradle for my iP4.

Ideally like it to be dash mounted not windscreen mounted and with a passthrough (so a gap for the dock connector essentially).

Any ideas?

Also, any good car chargers or is any cheapo good enough?

Have a look at Brodit Pro Clips.

Really really good. You buy 2 parts - a car mount and a device mount. Then if you change either your car or your device you just purchase the appropriate part of the mount and they are very sturdy and can be positioned in several places in your car and a mount for your iphone with pass through is available
 
Apologies for that Feek, Yep, just realised that!, HAHA. Just shows that Brodit make excellent products. I will definitely continue to buy Brodit products in the future.
 
Cheers for this, had getting a cradle for mine put on the back burner for a couple of related reasons and gave up looking :)
 
Looked at that Brodit stuff, all rather expensive and loads of options!

Which one do I want for a bumper/case fitted iP4!?

Given I'd use this cradle once a month or less ideally something that isn't £££ but isn't cheap and rubbish either :P
 
I think this is what you need:


Brodit item number: 516165

It's got adjustable sides so you adjust it to fit for the case you are using and has a pass through dock connector.

I would really really recommend you go with the Brodit stuff. You WILL NOT regret it. Great quality and works flawlessly. Doesn't wobble and it'll last for ages.

Don't waste your money on something cheaper and lower quality.

Ok,

Next up, what about the other half of the mount!?

My car isn't listed and vent mounted isn't a possibility so it's dash or glass, can't decide!
 
Hmm, it's strange that your car isn;t listed. Have you checked the official Brodit Pro Clip USA site?

If it's not on there then I suggest you contact them as i'm sure they either produce one for your car or find one that is equivalent.

I can't comment on the glass mounted ones as mine slots in via the gaps in the dashboard.

It's a 1983 Golf Mk 1, so pretty old, hence why no products for it are listed.

Will give them a email.
