Grillstock - Bristol 2nd and 3rd July

Bugger, missed it last year and working the weekend again this year.

St Paul's Carnival is on this weekend as well which just makes it worse! Damn weekend working!

Looking forward to this, I'll be there on Saturday afternoon :). Was going to buy tickets in advance but the only way to pay is by signing up for a Google checkout account :(.

Anyone else who went want to comment on how they found it?

I thought the entertainment was really good. Hayseed Dixie at the end were brilliant. Never heard Bohemian Rhapsody in bluegrass :D

Could have been more stalls perhaps.

Demo's were good, and tasting the competitors entries to King of the Grill was nice. Bad Byron's Buttrub team's brisket was amazing....

I went and got myself a butt rub tshirt and some butt rub :p the demos were pretty damn good and the music was awesome, but I do agree they could have done with more stalls.

St. Pauls was good this year also, Toddla T, Joker and Dj Zinc were the highlights for me, still at least Oxford isn't a million miles away if you want to make it next year... :p

I'll be moving back in August 2012, but yeah sounds great I'll try to make it up for then :)

I remember hearing a "jaga viper" was mentioned. 1.1million Scovilles :D

scotch bonnet was about 2/3rds of the way in, so that gives you some idea of how hot it got.

People were throwing up by the end. :D

Just used some Butt Rub on a couple of steaks. Lovely ;)

I bought some "Manor" ready made marinades. the BBQ ones are really tasty. :)

Never knew something like this existed nice one OP. I bought a Smoker/Grill BBQ and have been getting into the whole smoking and BBQing scene. Hope there's a Grillstock 3 which I'll definitely attend, I'm just imagining the smells :)

Yea as far as I know they intend to grow it to be one of the best BBQ and music festivals in the world.

Don't yet know how long it will stay at Bristol Harbourside (it was getting pretty full at peak times) but it's definitely here to stay :)

Did anyone try those roasted seeds that fella was selling? Awesome!! Who'd a thought that seeds could have tasted so good !
