Tory plans in a Pickle . . . yet again!

Not so fast cockhausen, the letter is over 6 months old.

/Thread

You come out with such drivel you need to join the real world its not as free and easy as labour tried to make it and someone needs to clear up their throwing money down the drain policies as many people have already said in this thread it IS possible to live on less it just means you have to go without some of the luxuries in life.

It is a massive slap in the face to people with jobs who are earning less but in a job and paying tax.

Commendable. Is that your total 'Family' income then?

£1800 a month after tax, are you seriously suggesting this is not enough for a family to live on?? Are you demented?

Time and again the left wing show themselves to me more greedy the Capitialists!

I feel like this is a repeat of all the arguements we had during the election. You were wrong then and you're wrong now

£2000 a month is equivalent to what you would pay on something like a £350,000 mortgage.

Oh the humanity, forcing people to live on such a pittance.

Well after watching tonight's Dispatches: Landlords from Hell, I have changed my mind, these benefit scroungers sure do live the life of luxury and it's such a shame to see hard working wealth creators like the landlord featured getting ripped off by these parasites.

It's good to see the spirit of Rachmanism is still alive to this day.

I'm not sure what this has got to do with the proposed changes? The only difference is that these scumbags will get less money from the state.

Do you honestly think that £2000-2500 a month isn't massively excessive?

A letter from the office of the obese communities secretary (Col. Blubber) also warned the PM a benefits cap for unemployed families was likely to cost more than it saved.

I bet all that extra spending is going into private pockets though, tax payers are going to be hit even harder with these changes but they won't mind if the money is redicrected into the pockets of corporate fat cats as long as the poor suffer.

Errr we aren't really talking about the poor here though are we? £500 a week is nearly bang on the median wage for the country. How can they be considered poor when the equivalent gross salary is nearly £30k?

What gets me is state dependents belief that they have a right to live where they want and that the rest of society should pick up the bill.

Also the headline grabbing figure of 20,000 people losing their home should really be rewritten "20,000 people on benefits may not be able to afford current rent and may have to downsize to a smaller home or move to a cheaper area" ...

I am sick of seeing people having children when they cant afford it and sponging off the state to support it rather than working. £2500 a month to live? What a joke, how many 'working' people would love that luxury.

I have worked since I was 16, worked through university and am now working full time. People in England are to stubborn and stuck up to 'just get a job', they then blame it on the immigrants and blame it on the current government. I recruited shortly before where I am now and I'll tell you one thing, there is no motivation from people to go out and look for work. They expect a job to just land in their hands ready for the taking.

Rant over.

sorry to say this but how old are you? most of us British are not stubborn at all you would find that up and down the UK jobs are taken up by immigrants.
because most employers see them as cheap wage no strikes etc etc and get away with it.
also on the subject if you dig deep you would find that when they come to the UK the government pay them a certain about of money to set up home and other expenses in which you would find its around £2000-£3000 per a family this is something that the government don't want you to know and don't go round bragging about but its true. and also you would find that they don't like spending their money they save and send back home.how do i know this i have worked with them and they are not shy of telling you this.
other thing you would find that university grads who done their time can't find work, you will find that their is 80 to 1 job vacancy in the UK all because the British employers think that workers from aboard are more qualified than the British taken this into account most British give up looking.
OK their are quite a few of British people who really don't want to work but the most do.
OK about me am 48 going 49 worked all my years since i was 16 paid my tax's and insurance until i had an illness year ago and i got three kids but i can tell you i don't get no where near the £2500.00 per month you are saying to live(would be nice)
but what i do get is what i have put into the system
also the amount of British people who is now homeless because what this government is doing, these people are homeless because their is no more council housing for them because all these immigrants have took them.
facts:750000 immigrants who should not be in this country are on the loose
working on farms etc etc.
i can go on and on about this matter but my blood pressure is rising.
am not a scroungier what people are saying i paid into the system for 33yrs so am entitled to what am owed.let sort these immigrants out who claim for everything under the sun. two adults and six kids four-to five bedroom house
who drive a nice bmw who claims for disability so on its these kind of scum we need to get rid of and sent back where they come from.

right my rant is over time for the pills:)

Every time I see Pickles, I am reminded of Monty Pythons' Mr. Creosote :D

So you resort to picking on people due to there weight or other physical attributes instead of how well they can do there job?

I can say some pretty horrible things about many Labour MP's physical attributes. But i choose to be a grown up and say some pretty horrible things about Labour MP's incompetence instead.

It just proves to me that you can't hold an argument and you've already lost.

They are only homeless if they are claiming on a house which requires over £28,000 a year in rent. That is £2500/m in rent. Sweet jesus. You can get a decent sized 6 bed for that outside London. What are they complaining about?

Racist ramblings

Got any proof for that rubbish? Some links to back it up would be nice.
