MOT - Airbag light

Am I the only one that doesn't see it as a bad thing checking that a fairly integral safety system is functional?

Not in my mind, no absolutely not.

Whilst my car went through its MOT without the light out (and I assume a fault in the system) I've subsequently had it sorted and it works as intended, well, until my daughter moves the seat again perhaps!

An Airbag is not the sort of thing that I would scrimp on, despite my upmost intention to never have to test it in action!

it's the connectors under the seat. if I reach under and push them together the light stays off, but as soon as the kids pull the seat forward to get into the back they come on again. if it's a problem I'll just cut the connectors off and tape them together.

Most of the seat connectors I've seen at work have a locking mechanism on them to hold them together - though I haven't seen any out of a BMW. Are you planning to basically cut the connectors off and crimp the wires together or have I missread?
