What's the one thing you would want to do before you die?

Goal is on the left (What I'm doing about it in Brackets)

Visit as many countries as I can (28 so far + Morocco, Czech Republic, China + North Korea in the next 12 months all booked)
Take the train from Brighton -> Beijing (Itinary and budget worked out hopefully go in 2013)
Sail the Atlantic (Taking sailing courses at the mo)
Trek to Everest Base Camp
Go to Svalbard, hopefully see Aurora Borealis
Live abroad (Looking into the Work Canada scheme)
Visit the islands in French Guyana where Papillon was imprisoned

One thing? Finding contentment in life again.

But there are a few things I need to do, have a career that will make me feel like I've finally made something of myself, learn another language ( I should learn my parents mothertongue, but I want to do another language first ), would love to succesfully move off of Jersey at some point using both those two previous skills, but this is all very difficult financially and motivation is all time low with depression.

Summer glau

Serious answer start a family with my fiancee.

Jp, I have been trying for ages to get to NY. However it is not a cheap place to go. I have searched but for 3 of us (adults), I cannot get anywhere decent near Times Sq for less than £3500k for 5 nights inc flights at a decent time of year.

If anyone has any suggestions, please let us know. Atm, i'm looking at about £3.5k for the holidays and probably about £1.5-2k spending money. Thats a bloody expensive holiday.

Me and fiancee stayed at the w times square in December which is 4* and about 10 meters from times square. It cost us £2k for 4 nights. You need more than that for spends. We blew $2000 in about 2 hours and spent around $3000 total but I was Ill for 2 days So we didn't leave the hotel for them days.

OK, I'll be a bit more precise (and more plausible):

Find a way to give humans the same immunity to cancer that naked mole rats have, which would enable humans to use the same method naked mole rats use to avoid aging.

That wouldn't enable eternal youth, but it would give humans a lifespan of several centuries without aging past early adulthood until nearly the end.

Nice thought but the planet just wouldn't be able to handle it ....

Personaly would love to go into space and look back on our own planet Earth... it's got to take your breath away ....

If we did achieve immortality, when we got bored we could form an exclusive club and meet up in various parts of the world every few hundred years and try and chop each others heads off. We could do this until only one of us was left.

Actually that might make a really good film come to think of it.

It's currently $200k with SpaceX, I imagine it'll come down a lot over the next ten years. A hell of a lot of money but it's doable if you it's your life goal.

They haven't actually launched anything into space though, have they? The only real way to do it is to buy a £35m? seat on a Soyuz. If we're talking about theoretical travel then Armadillo Aerospace is far more fun ;)
