Steam Summer Sale 2011

sorry but stalker is totally overrated the only reason they got a name was because of the graphics and mods on the first one.
I found them to be buggy broken godlike ai and quite frankly boring.

Welcome to the world of opinion.

It is the best CoD game but £10 for a 4 years old game is a joke.

Fair point though CS:S is older and retails at £13.99 when it's not on sale. It's currently sitting at £9.37 but again it's worth the price for the amount of gameplay you'll be getting.

I can't believe so many people still buy COD at those prices on Steam though...

Even more crazy when you consider they are Steamworks titles and retail for very little!!!

I am sure I am not alone when it comes to not seeing what the fuss is about with stalker and the witcher.
I guess I just don't like buggy boring eastern european made games.

How is what we say different from you telling him not to buy it cause you don't like it?

Does anyone have a spare Frozen Synapse copy for sale?

None of the today's deals interest me.

In fact I think the deals are getting worse and worse every day :(

Yep a copy of Frozen Synapse here whats ya steam?

So, was it an error when it wouldn't let me buy Call of Pripyat because i do not own a game which it needs as a "master"?

In the end i just bought all 3 anyway:rolleyes:

It was a "promo" offer. You had to own clear sky or chernobyl before you could get pripyat at that price.

I only have the first stalker game but the complete mod is a must have. I think there is one available for each of the games.

were you trying to buy the 'loyalty' COP - you can buy 2. The loyalty one is slightly cheaper and you needed to have SOC or CS registered in steam in order to buy it.

Lol, what were the chances of a discussion about Guild Wars being followed immediately by all the games being on offer :p

£10 for MW? I'm sorry that was released 4 years ago. Does there need to be any more proof Activision care for nothing but profit?

Gifted the gf those 2 Monkey Islands a few days ago, still, only cost me £1.80 more. Though now my mum is interested :p

I might buy WOP as I was looking at that a week or two ago and just thought its too expensive.

Anybody played Beat Hazard before?

BH is the worst possible nightmare for epileptics - other than that it's a fun little game I like to switch my brain off to whilst honing my reflexes :P In short it's an interactive visualizer but a fun one.

Bought AI fleet war and the king arthur collection today. Tempted by that beat hazard game but I doubt I'd end up playing it for longer than an hour.

Campaign in Wings of Prey worthy of my £3?

Yeah easily woth £3... I picked it up for a fiver on Steam ages ago, played a few campaign missions but as with most games these days I put it down and never went back because there's so many others to play.

I personally hated both the Stalker games I played (Shadow of Chernobyl & Call of Pripyat). The shooting feels horrible, ui is terrible, general gameplay 'feels' really outdated and boring and the graphics are just plain ugly, with or without mods.
