Do you have any shops near you? A shop near me has a high frequency sound emitter that keeps the teenagers away, though you can really hear it from outside the shop grounds...

Edit - Just noticed the video, strange indeed! Sounds like an RC plane.

The noise has stopped for now but I must say everything is dead silent plus night is approaching. I could hear police sirens early on but not any more !! :eek:

There are just small local shops like newagents or some restaurants nearby.

I must say ADT security sales people visited yesterday trying to convince me to buy their £400 worth of security system for £50 and were looking for 2 participants lol. They managed to convince somebody in my neighbourhood.

Do you think ADT is secretly monitoring this area lol.

Wow that is a bit creepy. It reminds me of the warning siren in Silent Hill - just before everything literally turns into Hell.

There's a sense of Pavlovian fear instilled into me whenever I hear this siren sound and the same pretty much applies to anyone who ever played the series in their youth

it's an absolutely terrifying bunch

Yeah I was thinking along the same line and remember this part from silent hill 1. That game scared the hell out of me!! When the siren plays, everything turns dark and then everything is let loose!! :eek:

If it is clear siren, why this needs to be played even though there is no sign of any danger? Could it be some sort of military related exercise?

It probably is a siren, there are still quite a few in fire stations, police and local govt buildings. If it is its just a test and was probaly published in the local paper.

Are you sure they were from ADT. We recently had a similar scam in our area, they asked for £50, "another neighbour has already agreed" and then after installation......a huge bill. They weren't posing as ADT around my way though.

Btw, freaky noise!
