It was, is, and shall only ever intended to be a harmless joke. He took it too personally and that's his own fault, so don't start making it out to be something it wasn't. I've even taken the trouble to tell him directly it wasn't intended to be taken poorly, but he's still upset. There's nothing I can do about that and I'm not apologising for anything that I don't have to be sorry for.

If he's still going to throw his toys out the pram about it, that's got nothing to do with me. I treat BTR no different from anyone else and banter with him like anyone else because I expect him to be able to take a joke by now, afterall I consider him one of the GD regulars.

Not at all, perhaps you should perceive your initial post from his and other's point of view?
You don't know him personally and what he's like as a person and for some people they can take things to heart more than others.
It's a case of think before posting at times.

Because of the split in the 90s from Jungle to Drum & Bass. Jungle is old skool. So is early Drum & Bass from the early to mid 90s split.

Which also get tired, like the constant one I get for apparently wearing lipstick. My lips are just naturally that colour :rolleyes:

I would consider anything pre-2000 old skool tbh :)

I would consider the split the basis for whats old and not old skool. 95/96. After that you get the likes of Technical Itch and Metalheadz producing some great dark Drum & Bass. Jungle always, for me, has a floatier rave sound and vibe to it.

I've said much harsher things to others and they've taken it for what it was - a joke.

It's not my fault if BTR wants special treatment. He either wants to join in and joke around or he doesn't - which is it? I'm no harsher to anyone else, and I do think before I post - do you see me posting such remarks where they're not needed, or do you see me post sympathetically?

I meant absolutely no malice and thoroughly resent that you're trying to twist it to make it so.

I see BTR as a regular GD poster and I relate to him on that level.

Offence is taken, never given and he took offence when he absolutely didn't have to. Other posters realised it was nothing more than a joke, so why couldn't he?

Talk to him instead of trying to have a pop at me.

Regardless, you're missing my point that some members may not be able to take stick unlike others. This is a clear case in point, so without going into a silly argument about this I suggest we go our separate ways and leave it at that. I was not having a pop at you at all and for all you know I may have been speaking to him about it.

As Maccy says, not everyone is the same and takes things the same. I for one couldn't give a toss what people think about me, however if someone/group of people persists with the same joke/insult repeatedly I get majorly peed off. I'm guessing this is what has happened here. Actually, no need to guess, he told me :)
