Spec my PC @ £150 on request by stulin!

You are not going to be able to get a 955BE for under £200. Even an Athlon II X2 will be a struggle with a budget that low.

Nope, I can't,, and a 955 only cost £80 so I did some calculations and could get one for £155 with a:
Asus M4N68T-M LE V2 Socket AM3 DDR3 Geforce 7025 VGA Out 8 Channel Audio mATX Motherboard
and a naff power supply, but I don't really know what I'm doing.

You can not do it, you need everything apart from a case.

Even the cheapest CPU and motherboard with onboard GPU is going to be poor for playing games.

Even using a barebones system is going to suck big time.

But you still need,

RAM = £25-£30
PSU = £30 ish

you cant fit a graphics card in to the budget, onboard graphics is terrible.

memory !!!!

£150-£200 isn't going to cut it, especially for a gaming machine - unless you mean minesweeper.

On the bright side you bowled well today.

8 overs, 1 maiden, 3 for 24.

English cricket obviously doesn't pay very well :(

Phenom = 85
Naff= psu = 20
Mobo = £34
Ram: 2GB DDr3 = 10

But the budget has a maximum of £200 so I'm sure I could fit in a Gfx and a better ram and psu

Case, DVD and HDD not needed as I have some spare.

Still possible?

You need 4GB of RAM these days for gaming.

Are your HDD and Optical drive IDE or SATA interface?

Even at those prices you're only £51 below your maximum budget and you expect to upgrade the RAM and the PSU and get a half decent graphics card?

Not much choice really.

YOUR BASKET
1 x AMD Phenom II X2 Dual Core 555 3.20GHz Black Edition (Socket AM3) - Retail £69.98
1 x Asus M4A78LT-M 760G (Socket AM3) DDR3 Motherboard £47.99
1 x Corsair Builder Series CX 430W V2 ATX '80 Plus' Power Supply (CMPSU-430CXUKV2) £39.98

Total : £201.92 (includes shipping : £10.00).

That motherboard will allow you to unlock the Phenom's cores and overclock. If you do this and are successful, you could get an X4 for the price of an X2.

There is a decent PSU in there, but there really is no room for a GFX card.

what is an amd llano. is it better than a phenom?

Don't worry guys a corsair 400w its on its way hope your happy! lol :p

now have £160 left

But you still haven't answered the question of if your drives are IDE or SATA, it is important you know?

Do the drives use these?
