HSBC sercure key fob

A part of me died when they announced this. I've used my online banking to get me out of trouble a number of times when I've been away with nothing. Plus I like the convenience of being able to log on anywhere any time with nothing more than internet access. I used to get frustrated at my girlfriend's online banking that needed her to take the keyfob everywhere with her. HSBC's online banking was so much more convenient as a result.

Now all that goes :(

I don't really want to have to carry this around with me as well. I already have to carry enough toss around with me and don't need more.

Has anybody else found that their device simply refuses to switch on most of the time?

Highly annoying when I don't feel like fighting a queue of 465 people in my local HSBC branch to the e-banking kiosk.

Not even had my card / fob thing yet, although I did get a letter about it a few months back.
Online banking still works fine the old fashioned way at the moment

Tried to log in just now and it wont let me, but they have not sent me a fob yet.... So thats just poo.

Jcb33.

It's making me fitter, but also making me swear more as it's never in the same location as I seem to be. It's also resulting in me not checking my balance as regularly as I used to - thus I seem to be spending more. Conspiracy?

:p You can still check balances @ ATMs

I carry mine in an oyster card case with all my cards. not exactly huge to carry

Got mine yesterday, all setup and hardly any fuss tbh...in fact i like this method as i always used to lock myself out because i couldnt remember my passcode and their annoying habit of asking for the first, third and second last digit.

The card itself isnt too big...i have it in my wallet, tucked away in a compartment which it fits perfectly fine.

Good thinking on HSBC.

Im split over the new system, I like the keycard and username but hate the rememberable date part!

the HSBC one is tiny! Quit *****ing.

yea but you dont need the natwest one everytime you want to login.....

Like many others I think they should have stuck with just using it for new payees. It makes me use online banking less I must admit.
