It works great, this is why I got mine:

It looks even better than in the photo. If you want to do any work outside at all then this is the screen for you. Nice sunny day here. Looks great inside as well.

Does the anti-glare actually look better in natural light than artificial? Like with the Kindle. It looks fine indoors, it's not until you use it outdoors that you realise just how impressive the e-ink screen actually is (outdoors everything it displays is clearer, sharper, just all around more impressive). I don't think I'd be happy using any laptop outdoors until it features a colour display as impressive as the Kindle's e-ink.

I love glossy screens, but for a laptops it probably should be standard to non-gloss. A laptop will probably be used outdoors, so it should make sense.

Also, Droid, why do you have a Google+ sig? That's just weird. :p

i like my glossy high res, i absolutely hate the silver surround on the anti-glare it looks cheap compared to the rest of the casing

and when the refresh next year has a silver bezel everyone will hate the black optional one.

... what being made of the same metal and painted the same silver as the rest of the case...

I love my anti glare screen. So glad I specced it against the glossy. Had a glossy 1080p screen on my last laptop and the awesome screen was pointless because it reflected every little thing.

I find it odd that people say that having a silver surround looks bad. If you really have such a hung up it's rather irrelevant because you'd forget about it after all of five minutes of use.

Can someone put up a pic of a glossy one for compare purposes? I have to say that silver bezel makes it looks cheap.

Yes, my boogle button is broke. I was hoping someone who has a glossy Mac Pro could put a real life pic up, rather than a mac store sales pitch pics to get a better idea. Never mind.

I've just found a decent enough pic of a mac pro with glossy screen. It's much nicer looking than that spastic looking cheap non reflective trim. Irrespective of how good the non reflectiveness is, the trim makes the laptop look like cheap tat.

For a laptop, I can't see why glossy screens still exist. When I got my MBP, anti-glare was the only way to go!

I must say though, my iMac with a glossy screen isn't as bad as I was expecting, but on a sunny day, it is irritating to see my reflection.

Most apple bum boys hate the anti glare because of the silver border around the screen.....ffs

Until the Unibody the MacBook Pro was anti-glare as standard with the silver surround. It didn't look cheap then and doesn't look cheap now.

Glossy/Glass fronted screens have an immediate "zing" factor with the colours but I find the reflections hateful. I can see myself in my MacBook screen while typing this.
