Curious about what will happen to their paywall structure. Will the NoTW become The Sun(Day) and keep it's own site on pay to view or will the entire paper fall under pay to view.

Wow, talk about damage control. They must be absolutely desperate to cover this up. Killing off the newspaper gives them an ideal smokescreen for destroying evidence.

Meanwhile, the company can be quietly restructured and reborn under a different name.

I think the public are smart enough to realise that this is a desperate attempt for News International to cover up all the stuff that will come out in the end.

The public pressure and outrage will ensure the police and government take the appropriate action, if found guilty.

What's the chances of the paper being killed off.
Hopefully people will stop buying it and sponsors are already flocking away from them as fast as possible.
Hopefully they can get evidence and purse it criminally, disgusting acts.

It's a shame for the honest people at the paper (I imagine not everyone will get jobs with the 7 day Sun) but good news in general. What we need now is a series of criminal trials against all those in the wrong.

Iam amazed he would rather end the paper then the head person. Usually its the other way round

He must think it would not be enough. For what its worth I doubt she was actually involved though if heading a company its their mess to clean up regardless

People say it will be rebranded but theres no doubt they'll lose customers and business even if his other papers try to mop up the collateral damage

Its the worlds biggest selling newspaper, we're talking a lot of money but maybe this sky deal outweighs that
