Sister's lost bracelet on Ebay :(

I thought I'd heard of theft by finding, but was unsure.

How the hell do you contact a buyer on Ebay ? All I see is that is was won by V**a and a link to their bidding history.

I just reported it as stolen on ebay for you OP. Not sure if this helps. Rash...yeah I guess it is, but I believe you OP. Look at how unique it is and location being right by OP. Good luck.

These kind of charm bracelets are pretty popular, I've seen it myself having to buy charms for my Sister and Mother. Is there any kind of serial number or hallmark type thing on the main bracket?

I already did that myself, but thanks anyway :)

Not sure it will help, but I'm trying everything I can to help her out.

Now if I could find their address I'd be more than willing to pay them a visit ;)

If it is a Pandora bracelet, as far as I am aware the jeweller keeps records of every bracelet and charm bought by and bought for a person.

Good luck, I really hope you get it back (if it is indeed her bracelet, which seems likely).

*sits and waits for someone to send a link to this thread to the seller*

A few days ago, me and my mates got out bags stolen, and first thing we were doing was going on local selling websites and checking to see if our phones etc. were listed.

If you KNOW its hers, then it should be easy to prove to police and get it back. A few pics should do it tbf

The sale of stolen property is strictly forbidden on eBay, and breaches UK, Irish and international law. eBay strongly supports law enforcement efforts to recover stolen property that is listed on its web site, and urges the prosecution of those responsible for knowingly attempting to sell such items on eBay. Stolen property includes items taken from private individuals, as well as property taken without authorisation from companies or governments.

If you see an item on eBay that you believe is stolen, your best course is to contact law enforcement immediately. Under eBay's privacy rules, our lawyers will provide important records about pending and past listings with an official request from law enforcement officials. Please inform the police officer handling the case that eBay will be pleased to cooperate in the investigation, and ask the officer to contact eBay via the Law Enforcement area in the Safety Centre. It is important that these methods of contact be reserved for law enforcement use only, as it enables us to respond quickly in case of emergencies. Emails/faxes directed to these areas that are not from law enforcement will be routed to the appropriate mailbox or individual accordingly and may cause delays in response time.

you could contact seller in his ebay ad http://shop.ebay.co.uk/old_tilly_billy/m.html?_nkw=&_armrs=1&_from=&_ipg=50

for a sat nav and say you are local and would like to pick up .

suppose depends how rough they are or how hard you look if you will get it back , but might end up in a confrontation with the police being called , so best take a witness.

Heh, I know quite a few scary people that would go round there with me. Nice lads (when you know them, anyway)but they are very much of the 'smash teeth in first, think later' persuasion. I don't fancy a night in the cells if I'm honest.

We'll see what happens with the police tomorrow as I'm at work until 8 anyway. By that time the seller may well have posted the bracelet anyway, so going round there would probably achieve little.

The bracelet wasn't lost in the supermarket, it was stolen. Repeat 100 times.
I hope you manage to get it back.

Finders keepers?

Her own fault she lost it after all?

Well, at first I had a similar thought, but after all the comments in here it would seem the 'finders keepers' myth is just that.

Also, after just speaking with my other sister - each piece on the bracelet has a serial number - they've all been bought from the same place and names/addresses have been logged against every piece/serial number. Just hope the police do their job now...
