Looking for some advice here gents (and ladies if any present!)

Currently have an i5 760, 8gb memory, p55a board and crossfire 5850's. I'm looking to get into a bit of video editing and photo manipulation and am wondering whether the following upgrade would see a decent performance jump -

i7 2600k
Z68 board
small ssd for intel SRT.

I still intend to play games here and there but am thinking of chopping my two 5850's in for a single gpu solution. Will the Z68 board allow me to utilise the intel video encoding bits and pieces?

Thanks :)

i have found that aslong as you are prepared to look for (or wait for updates of your current software) something that ustilises Intel Quick Sync then times for encoding are heavily reduced compard to my old X3 Phenom 3.8GHz. how this compares to an i5 760 im not sure, but it will probably still be quicker.
