Was that a classic car policy?
No. It irrelevant anyway as I'll be exporting it. How old is a classic in the UK anyway?
In Belgium it's 25 years, but at least the registration will only be €67,50
Iv left him a message and an e mail.
Thanks a lot.
I'll contact him as well to increase the interest ;)
I want more pictures, anyway.

To be fair I'll probably keep it. Might even sell the Z3. I mean how often does a chance come up to get a 964 Turbo

I mean, look at it!

Don't know if it's a good investment, but looking at where 930 prices are heading the 964 must be due for a price hike.

As for the car - the turbo body 964 is probably my favourite shape 911, and black is a great colour for it.

Incredible looking thing. The shape I instantly think of when someone mentions '911'.

My main concern is the turbo. How strong are they? This one's running 385bhp apprently.
He's effectively spent the value of the car in the last 3 years on mods. Mental.

I might have to change the whole exhaust back to stock for the MOT though, which will be fun.
That, and I'll probably stack it on the way home.

if youre unsure about whether those mods are a good thing, is it really the car for you?

i like the positive thinking, but youll have a whale of a time doing it.
Perhaps it came out wrong. I meant more in terms of resale value for the future.
Mods = more power = fun, but the furthest I've modified is a backbox :p

Maybe I'm just being stupidly naive, but what's the worst that could happen...
How lethal can they be? :D

nooo, i was commenting about the "stack it on the way home" :D i think id go backwards on fire through the pearly gates quite happily in that :P

id expect its quite hardy, would be nice to know more about the setup of the engine to guage how safe it is

No word from the seller yet.

You know also that once we have made sure its not just a pure **** box, this car does want a decent inspection doing by a Porsche man.

I was chatting to a specialist about these a few months ago as they had one on the ramp whilst my Boxster was having a service. He said that particular one was used as a daily driver. He reckoned they aren't really any more expensive to maintain than the NA cars - the turbo being very reliable, with the usual weak spots of radiators etc.

I love this shape. Looks a lot better than a 996 or 997, but obviously will show it's age in the drive and interior......buy it!

Aye. If it looks a good one, maybe slap a deposit down and sort a specialist to look at it.

The thing is, I'm going on holiday for 3 weeks on Thursday so the timing's not really the best.
For what it's worth, I can go over to the UK if I need to Monday - Wednesday.

That might be a problem then, because i doubt you will be able to arrange an inspection by wednesday.

Boo hiss, he's not going to let us see it before someone else comes down on Tuesday.

I can understand that he's given his word, but unless he's received a deposit, I can't really see why he'd hold it.
If the buyer's that keen then they should come sooner IMHO.

But then maybe he has been given some money to hold it, you never know.
He won't even give any more pictures!

Its that swine coming from Sweden thats ****ed us, hopefully his ferry will sink on the way here :)

Yea hes had enough Porsches already, he dont deserve another.

It does mention an offer, so the bloke is taking offers at least.

Iv had another cunning plan, send the Swede a PM on that forum and tell him you know the car and its a beast, save him a wasted journey :D

It was posted a month ago, that's why I thought it was clear, but I guess not :(

I really should sign up on there and post saying it's a ****heap :D

I think he's buying to sell on as well. ****in hate Swedes!
