PS3 exclusives tend to appeal to the kind of games I like, Xbox 360 ones, not so much, which is why I don't have a 360, I've been tempted by one but the likelihood is that I'll never buy one.
I only own an xbox 360 but if some kind sole wants to buy me a ps3 and some games I'll be happy to compare the exclusives and offer balanced opinion on the matter
I bet half of the games on the 360 'exclusive' list are available on the PC too and none or possibly one or two are for the PS3 list.
Also the 360 has a much larger userbase so it's hardly surprising that their revenue is larger.
And one of them is Halo
How many on each list are recent releases btw? As far as i see it, the 360 has had a pretty poor couple of years for exclusives with the Halo franchise and Forza being the only two stand-out exclusives that i can think of.
But yeah ultimately, larger userbase = larger profits. Well duh?
According to Wiki the PS3 has sold 50,000,000 units and the Xbox 55,000,000. So there's not that much in it, but that doesn't tell how many are subscribed to Xbox Live or PSN either. I can't be bothered to look for those numbers after a quick Google it was only giving me outdated information from last year so meh.
5 million extra consoles isn't exactly a small amount of users and that can easily be attributed to the sales of the extra games. Also in my experience some people bought a PS3 initially as it was cheaper than an equivalently good Blu-Ray Player at the time. I don't think many people would have bought an Xbox360 to play DVD's.
