Got this game the other day something new to play, been thru fallout 3 and yeah had a lot of crashes but still managed to deal with it and complete it etc. But this games a disaster it just freezes up constantly, I can't actually get any further in the game and I've just started it! about 30 mins in and it just constantly freezes literally 10 mins later no matter what I do, would have thought the clown company would iron out these issues, point in releasing a 100 times more buggy game then previous one ?

I've completed it on PS3 and 360 and while there were some bugs and slowdown I wouldn't say it was unplayable. Try doing what Moogleys says, if you have it on PS3 then you can try deleting the game data which apparently resolves some of the problems. I think the patch is due out fairly soon, it's not Bethesda's fault, the engine was never theirs to begin with and they've done the best they can.

I'm with K1LLSW1TCH on this, nearly finished it PS3 and while there was some slow down/lagg sometimes, it wasn't unplayable all the time

I think I've finished it 3 times now with few major problems. The engine leaks like a sieve, but then has since Morrowind. :p The last patch fixed a lot of issues, but introduced some too (which have stopped me finishing it a fourth time). The forthcoming patch (this week) is a biggie (250mb) set to fix LOTS of issues.

I got it as a gift near release, but other than start the game just left it on the shelf, just couldn't be bothered with a flaky experience.
Think I'll start it properly once the patch hits. :)

Played it on both PS3 & 360 and had lockup's on both and i found it was bad if you got further into the game and had several different save files .

My GF got this game on realese and had loads of issues with it, should have been play tested a lot more IMO. I would rather wait for a quality game a months more than have a rushed buggy product!

It has issues but the majority are with the engine and not because it's been rushed or anything else.

Maybe they should have taken more time to work on the engine, I dunno its just really annoying to see this kind of thing - fallout 3 had no where near as many crashes glitches etc as NV :(

Fallout 3 was more trouble for me than NV :p But I think that was because of all the DLC. When I had completed the game and started doing them it froze every 10 minutes.

F:NV has issues but it's not unplayable.

I've just finished it on 360 with 1k. There were about 5 or so times I fell out of the world and these were all fixed with a reload or fast travel but apart from this I didn't have a problem.

I also think I slightly preferred it to 3!
