Anyone looking forward to hearing Noel Gallaghers solo effort? Details were announced on Wednesday, from what he was saying the first album sounds like something what we would expect, and the second one is along the lines of Dance / Jazz, lol wtf  - Should be interesting anyhow, I cant wait.

The former Oasis guitarist will release his first self-titled project under the name Noel Gallagher's High Flying Birds on October 17.

The second, an as-yet-untitled companion LP, will be released in 2012 and is the result of Gallagher's continued work with Amorphous Androgynous.

'High Flying Birds' was recorded in London and completed in Los Angeles during 2010 and the first half of this year.

It features ten new songs and was produced by Gallagher and Dave Sardy. The album includes guest appearances from the Crouch End Festival Chorus and The Wired Strings.

Noel Gallagher's High Flying Birds will tour this autumn.

I've no doubt this will be excellent. His 'The Dreams We Have As Children' live album was superb and I always preferred his voice to Liam's anyway.

A few of those are old Oasis era songs rejigged. Very glad to see Stop The Clocks FINALLY get a release.

Impressed! Not a total classic but a darn good song. His voice is so, so much better than Liam's now.

I really liked his "Merry Christmas Everyone" solo acoustic song :)

I've no doubt this will be excellent, and in my opinion, the less Liam the better!

Yes - I really just couldn't get on with any of it at all.

But then I'm probably one of those despised individuals whose favourite Oasis songs are Little by Little, Cast No Shadow, Some Might Say and The Importance of Being Idle.
