My girlfriend has recently come into some money that we want to use as a deposit on a house, however we still have 6 months on our current tenancy agreement.

What is the best way to invest this money over this period to get the most from it? Preferably minimal risk (so no putting it all on black).

This is useful for me, inflation is killing my wealth at the moment. Whats the highest rate savings account people have found?

All on red.

Or,

PREMIUM BONDS LOL FOR THE GAMBLE. IT'S SUPER FUN LOL. MAD FOR IT.

To be fair...for 6 months, for the sake of a small amount of interest Premium bonds would be where I would put my money for short term.....

Did you steal this from Kevin Webster? He's non too pleased.

For 6 months you're better just shoving it in a savings account, but make sure you wont need to lock your money in for a set amount of time over that.

Seeing as you can withdraw premium bonds at any time, I don't see why they aren't an option. Yes, you're unlikely to win a load of money, but for the short period of time, it seems you might have a higher chance of making something back from it as opposed to a low-yield savings account, many of which will lock you in.
