So i finally bought crysis 2

I pass all the specs for dx11 at max settings
Intel Quadcore, 8gb ram, Dx11 Gpu, ssd drive, HD projector and thx cert 5.1 sound system check
Crysis 2 check
1.9 patch check
dx11 patch check
ultra texture pack check

installed the Game and started playing but my joy lasted 2 mins, just picked up a hand gun from the ground, the lights in my house started flickered and there was a loud bang from downstairs. I checked to see what had happened and discovered that my house main electric box blew !!!!

Looks like my P.C can run Crysis but my house cannot !!!!

WTF !!!

I avoided this game untill it was dx11 and now this

so waiting on N.I.E to visit me so i can see if my p.c is dead or not !!!

I don't really understand what your saying. Are you saying that your PSU blew when playing crisis 2 or that the game crashed when an electrical box blew in game?

I can't understand half of what you've just written.

Is the electric box a sexual reference? I can see something about lasting only 2 minutes but not quite sure what you meant.

The main electrical box of my house blew 2 mins into playing crysis 2, just thought it was a new spin on the old pun but can it run crysis. Clearly my rented house wiring is bad. I just hope i havent lost my p.c to the fault.

You should have your pc plugged a into surge protector, they cost like a fiver or something. That way if it ever happens again your pc would be protected.

All my electrical stuff goes on surge protectors, i,m just worried that if this was enough to blow an electrical mains box then my surge protector's just will not cut it.

Probably just coincidence and either way, good surge protectors cover damage to the products they have plugged into them for surges apart from lightning etc.

Surely you mean it just blowed a fuse or flipped one the Circuit breakers off

nope

Ive an old skool electrical box i uses fuse wire and i,m guessing all the fuse wire was 40 amp stuff, landlord came out to fix the lights not long after i moved as the stopped working, i thought i would reset the circuit breaker to get them on again and discovered this thing. it doesnt have circuit breakers !!!!!!

It's part of the special effects. It had me going for a minute. Just wait a while and your house will have its electric restored, as will the rest of the street.

So thread is nothing really to do with Crysis 2 at all, other than you happened to be playing it at the time. Really shouldn't be in this section tbh.

Sorry to hear about your issues though, and hope nothing has been lost.
