HI all,
put the date in the title as quite a few reviews i've read are from around January 2011 so don't take into account any new games (if any).
Ok, so i want to try out a fitness game/disk.

Seems like the main contenders are:
  • EA Active Sports (heard it sucks)
  • EA Active Sports 2 (any better?)
  • Your Shape
  • Biggest Loser
  • UFC Personal Trainer
Any more? and from those who have experience of any of the above what would you recommend please?
Quite like the looks of EAAS2 as it has the heart rate monitor and seemingly loads of DLC.

Your opinions please? :)

I've burnt over 10k calories with both EASA2 and Your Shape and I'm one week in with Biggest Loser.

They're all good and whilst Your Shape is the best showcase of Kinect I found the whole thing a bit sterile and boring. EASA2 kept me more motivated and I prefer to have an exercise schedule plus the heart monitor is good.

I'm really enjoying Biggest Loser and it's kicking my butt atm but on the downside the interface is horrendous.

My advice is get EASA2 and go straight into the 12 week program. It starts with 20 min routines 4 days a week burning 100 off calories off but by the end you'll be doing 50 min routines and loving it.

Hmmm...... thanks for the repsonse.
If i buy pre-owned i can get:
Your Shape for £18
EASA2 (with heart monitor) for £22, which seems like the better bargain.

But are there any issues with buying pre-owned? Do you register online etc for DLC?

Theres some small DLC you get with YS these days but it's very minor and not really worth it imo.

Ahem, and I'll probably get told off for this but I put YS on the members mart a couple of days ago.

I got UFC on Saturday and I couldn't complete the first session I was too tired to carry on. I'm still aching now.

Hopefully it will get easier for me.

As someone who actually goes to mma training, UFC personal trainer is an absolute BEAST !!

Your shape is a lot better to get fit with, UFC is more for when you are :p

Right, found the Your Shape: Fitness Evolved, must have had this ages, didn't even know.
Had 2 workouts so far, and....OH MY GOD!!!! I was in so much paaain the next day.
Just shows how out of shape i've become.
I like it, although i got angry at it the other night as i was spot on in time with the trainer when doing side lunges, but it kept saying i was out of rhythm, so i ended up doing double the amount whilst screaming obscenities at the trainer, lol.
then you get the trainer saying "raise your arms highers" or "squat deeper" yet they don't do it....lazy *******!!!
Spent over 20 years studying martial arts, but doing the cario boxing, loollll....i was all over the place, punching and kicking with all the grace of a sack of carrots.
Burned over 470kcals so far in 2 workouts, so not too bad.
I enterained myself by flipping the bird and pelvic thrusting in the general direction of the instructor (as i was stood slightly behind her) :D

Overall, as a first dig into kinect fitness, i'm fairly satisfied. If i can motivate myself enough, I may look into the UFC Personal Trainer.

These fitness games sound like a good way to burn some calories whilst doing what I love most - playing games and earning cheevos! Just waiting for kinnect to go back to £79.99 and I'll probably bite :)

When has it ever been £79.99 ?
