Battlefield 3 no XP support

That's funny, W7 performs a lot better than XP for me! ;)
 
If they drop support for xp they dont have to test and fix bugs related to it and so time is spent more efficiently.

Good move, people on xp SHOULD upgrade. If you have the hardware to run BF3 you have the money to upgrade your OS.

Nobody wants XP Anymore.
 
But will the game have an XP system that lets you level up and unlock new certs & perks.

gotta love assumption that cause your on xp your pc cant run it :p

like said people may like xp better or programs or other things people use daily may run better on xp .

the simple fact is the only reason they doing it is either to use as a sales pitch only dx 10 11 we arnt cod series or they dont want the hassle of support for dx9.

people who say we moving on lol . how many dx11 games are there nearly 99 percent are dx9 still

we are moving on, who actually games on DX9................people game on DX10 or DX11, Simple as, stop crying and sell that pentium 4.

Correct, only 15% of users have DX9 cards. Having a DX10+ card is not the only requirement for running DX10 though.

If you read the stats properly, you'll see that about a third of gamers can only run DX9 due to their combination of OS and card.

Well an upgrade of OS is significantly cheaper than a GFX upgrade so they should be thankful.

There is nothing that XP does better than Windows 7. Most people have woken up to this.

i have got a modern pc 10th time :rolleyes:

im not crying i dont get why they cant just include xp .

i have a card that can play any game at d11 at decent settings and a quad at 3.7 .


the simple fact is they are only doing this for there benefit not ours lol.

they will use it for sales pitch and make it work for them.

probably the support with dx 9 is what has caused issues and the real reason to why its not being included . not cause xp is old that is not the issue.

i will be putting w7 on my gaming pc but it is only for this game and why i dont agree with it .

Legacy support . . . . But thats all.
I can see me with an XP system for a few years yet. Though its only for a specific use. Main PC will always be the latest OS.
 
Also just like to add XP not support doesn't mean it won't work :D

Just means they aren't going to spend time testing to get it to work properly on XP :p

Surely everyone has upgrading to Windows 7 by now though? After 4-5 months you will see how badly XP has aged.
