When I was younger I use to always watch the Syfy channel when they used to be Sci-fi. Theyve always showed a lot of B-movies around then but some of them were actually quite good in the sense of the story of the film but with bad actors, quality of the production, effects etc... lol

Two of those movies I remembered when I thought it was soo bad at the start but at the end of it, I realised it was quite good lol

The films were the CUBE and the Langoliers

have you seen any films that you thought was bad and after watching it you realised it was rather good?

Cube is great - couldn't really live upto its premise so the ending was a bit of an anti-climax but it was good none the less (plus it has David Hewlett).

A film with David Hewlett is always good! I love Cube though, spent months trying to track it down on DVD.... Made me want to watch it now, but I lent it to a friend quite a while back.... Will have to get it back.

I posted this on another forum-

"Name: Starry Night

Plot: Vincent Van Gogh is brought back to life thanks to a magic potion. After finding that his work is hugely popular and valuable, he starts telling people who he is. He's quickly institutionalized in a psychiatric hospital where, with the help of an ambulance chasing lawyer, he breaks out and sets about stealing his paintings in order to prove his true identity.

Notable Scenes: It has to be where Van Gogh finishes his 1889 self portrait by painting on a sun hat. Then the guy who owns this hugely valuable masterpiece decides, after his initial shock, that he prefers it with the freakin' hat!

The acting would be considered wooden and hackneyed at a dinner theatre, the script is laughably bad and the special effects are... well, let's just say, give me five minutes and a copy of MSpaint and I think I could do better. It really is a fine example of a "so bad, it's good" movie. If you ever get the chance, it's well worth watching this awful, awful film."

Second that! Watched it last night, was brilliantly bad.

I think you're missing the point of this thread. Machete is filmed in true B movie style and not intended to be a typical movie. The whole design is to give a B movie feel and everything within it is done very well. The fact it works so well for me means it can't ever be classed as a film that's so bad it's good.

It's a good film due to the nature of how it was filmed/directed/produced/acted.

If anything the fact you thought it was so bad it was good means the people involved did an excellent job.

Erm, no. I do understand the thread, and I also understand the entire reason the movie was created.

I also thought the movie was absolutely shockingly awful, but despite that, it was good fun.
