Ditched the BMW idea ...

intersting thread - work blocks all the pics though, will have to check when home!

Z4M boring though? I'm intruiged :D

What's the purpose of this? It just looks like you have 8 GPS aerials :p.

Something to do with high speed stability? I should imagine it does very little - but it does look cool so nevermind. :p

Basically it's supposed to reduce drag but ultimately by very little. Moreso of a aesthetic gimmick so I believe.

Still I like how they look and may well end up with one - one day. More important things to spend cash on at the moment (woes of olding an older car), but one day - mines even had one on before by the looks of it.

There's a technical paper floating around somewhere written by Mitsubishi.

Looks great though Sam - You going to the RR meet?

Nope afraid not but i will come to the next one once the cars been mapped .. I only get back from the ring on tuesday and to be honest am running out of cash this month

:)

What power you looking for? Think you'll take it on the strip at all?

Should be looking at somewhere between the 380 and 400 mark if im lucky. Depends on car really, gone for a AVC-R boost controller so that should help my case a little.

I do love how Mitsubishi went with the Vortex Generator though. Something which only marginally reduces drag for a car which is the aerodynamic equivalent of a travelling wall.

Where did you get yours from Sam? Did you get your condenser from Evobreakers?

Last weekend i took it to R-Spec to have a new fuel pump / 3 port boost solenoid and a live map ... Car seemed to react very well and feels allot quicker now boosting up to around 1.7 bar. I also had pops and bangs added on the intercooler button and had launch control put on.

Repaired the passenger side door lock as it was operating opposite to all the others, simply cut the cables and swapped them around :D

Aircon Condenser is being replaced as it has a hole in it, done allot of the prep to get it out today but got bored so will finish off tomorrow ... On another note i seem to have a boost leak somewhere as when i accelerate hard the turbo kicks in about 3500 and by 4500 there’s no boost at all. At first inspection i can’t find any lose hoses or any splits etc but will carry on playing tomorrow to see if i can find the issue. Need to replace the Fan controller as well at some point as the fan is on as soon as the ignition is turned.

Cheeeeap car to run :)

Sam

If anyone is interested in fuel costs running an evo ive kept a guide for the last 800 miles on the Iphone app road trip
