Hi folks,

quick question,

My other half started a new job recently, but it seems her phone signal there is non existant, couple of her work collegues vodafone phones also lack any type of signal.

She's been with them for 9years now, and is into that last 11months of her contract.

Does she any way of possibly canceling the contract? or will she just have to pay it up etc?

Thanks for help

Nope, not possible.

Of course its possible. You can cancel a contrat at any time. You will, however, be charged a termination fee of the remaining months x the line rental minus an early payment discount of, IIRC, 2%. I beleive the termination fee is also VAT exempt.

I'm well aware of that, but I assume he meant cancelling for free, if possible.

Perhaps I should have made that clear.

Thanks for the replies folks, I though as much that she'd have to pay to get out of it

Yeah, you can get around the cancellation fee if you can find something in the T&C's that lets you legally cancel it but it's quite rare for that to happen.

Unfortunately, signal quality isn't covered under any networks T&C's as far as I know.

I think Vodafone offer a larger discount than 2%.

They used to offer a substantial discount until they realised that when OFCOM mandated a discount for early termination, it didnt actually have to be a meaningful one, so it got reduced..
