I wouldn't call the differences between the screens 'night and day', that's a bit strong.

Ok, 'night and mid-evening' then! I think it's mainly the blacks which make it so great, with there being no back light it's difficult to tell where the video ends and the case begins (if the video has borders).

The blacks are very nice, it is a little bit cringeworthy how grey the LCD's blacks are when side by side.
