Why do people buy into apple BS?

They simply don't know any better, but people are slowly learning apple's a fools market. none of their products are better than alternatives, no matter what you do with them.

what? apple is the best, you buy apple and it jsut works... 5 years after buying it, it still works the same as the day it was brought (unless dropped)

you buy a PC and the average joe will have a virus within a week, their apps will stop working every few months and the machine will run like a dog after a year..

no one who buys apple calls me with problems unless they dropped it or spilt tea on it..

apply is the way forward for average poeple... PC's are a disaster in the making...

you might pay more for your apply but it will last longer, work better and cause you a lot less problems

By Ignoring apps op has already proven himself deluded

Where your galaxy's top quality apps ? Where's your galaxy's premium games ? Why are the most popular android icons ones that look like iPhone ones ?

The photos you posted are just as pointless too because the year old iPhone takes similar quality ones and so does my 4 year old Sony erricson

Why are you even so bothered as to make this thread , do you honestly think everyone who paid 500 for an iPhone4 did it without researching or trying it at all ? Most use a friends or use it in the shop and surprise surprise actually like it

People buy it because they get good recommendations from people who already have one , people who find it easy to use , people who get treat well by customer service , people who found an app that does exactly what they want .

It's like the difference between KIA and Honda , both do the same thing... The KIA might even have more options included for the same price , would you buy one though ?

I'm not jealous of anything...There isn't an apple product out that can out perform any other phone or PC currently.

I never said product, I said you are jealous of the marketing.

It doesn't even shoot 1080p video

I don't expect it to or need it to. 99% of smartphone buyers won't need it to either.

You buy an Apple with confidence that you can use it to its potential and that if anything goes wrong you have the support you need by walking into a store. Try that with a Samsung.

Rubbish. It was moved because of Android users trashing iPhone threads and causing them all to descend into arguments.

I absolutely can't believe the powers here even considered moving iPhone stuff back to the MP forum. It'd need massive smacktard fumigation before the idea can even be remotely considered properly.

It should be done, but your gonna need a hard-ass mod to keep it under control..
If you cant debate stuff like matures, ban hammer time.

It'l probably end up being too much work to moderate though.

Actually the KIA to Honda comparison is harsh , it's more like vauxhall to Honda and I'm only using Honda as they have good adverts and reliability like apple , which would you rather own...

Now that is a fair comment - in my time of owning iPods I have had nothing but great customer service, even when out of warranty. That they do have going for them... doesn't make the excessive premium you pay justified though... IMO

That isn't relevant, it's a complete troll remark. The iPhone 4 was released last June, at that time no phone had 1080p recording, most didn't even have 720p and no Android phone had a camera that was as good as the iPhone 4 either.

The new wave of dual-core phones are a year newer and naturally the hardware is going to be superior, but most of it goes to waste as Android has very few apps/games that tax the hardware.

The iPhone 5 hardware will match and slightly better them, and that will be absolutely fine for Apple and their users.

It should be done, but your gonna need a hard-ass mod to keep it under control..

I'd be prepared to moderate it (or report stuff), but it's a lot of work for no real gain.

What a totally stupid generalisation. I hope you're joking.

im not joking about the fashion thing.. most of 14-20 year olds have it just because its "cool" i know my mate got one in college last year and everyone was running around him like he had found a gold plated ***** up his..

:)

It'd need more than one hard-ass mod as it'd be needed to be watched closely 20+ hours a day.

It works as it is, really. I remember the poll at the time, and thinking "How many of those who voted for it to be moved are just trolls who want iPhone threads back in the MP forum so they can go on the rampage?". ;)

Generally, those with brains want it kept separate, and rightly so.

People buy apple products because there is a perception that they will just 'work'. Specs are irrelevant, what matters is perceived performance and the actual experience of the user. Apple have done a good job at wrapping products up and delivering them as part of a whole product solution, including other elements required to get value from the purchase (e.g. Apps). Their walled garden will ultimately be their downfall. They will not achieve anywhere near the growth that Android is/will due to their go to market model.

As the market becomes more mature, people will of course expect much, much more of apple and thy're doing pretty well at delivering that today - but as soon as Jobs goes, they're in trouble...

If its the same CPU/GPU as that found in the Ipad 2 then it should be capable of some astonishing things graphically.
The Ipad 2 CPU is the same as the one found in the PS Vita (with some cores disabled but still) and the GPU is the same? afaik..

Then in 14 months some Android phone will come out with the latest Nvidia chip and all the android fans will come out of the woodwork with the usual "OMG LOL IPHONE ISNT EVEN NEWEST HRDWARE!11!!"
And then the Iphone 6 is released..
And the cycle repeats.

No, it's been argued over and over again and theres just no point in it. It's sad and pathetic.

One could argue that point about quite a bit of GD... But I personally think that Apple is moving away from providing a great service and being technology innovators to being a company that is attempting to capture their customers and subsequently empty their wallets. That IMO is worthy of debate.

What marketing? Why would I be jealous of marketing? I see through the crap...I'm free!

When I'm out I no longer need to take my camera or camcorder

I just take my phone

I don't know one person with an iPhone that bought it because it's fashionable. Most of them have it due to the marketing appealing to them and the fact they actually like it.

They try my Android phones and tend to go "What a load of confusing stuff, I don't need that "

When I'm out I no longer need to take my camera or camcorder

I just take my phone

And you can do the exact same with an iPhone 4, and the iPhone 5 will improve upon that even more...
