Goodbye and good riddance!

????????

silly arguments in my opinion.
If you can't pay people to work for you, why should you be in buisiness.

what?

Did you even read what i wrote?

Scorza wants the government to force Murdoch to sell the papers.

If no one buys them the workers would be ****ed.

Not because of any failings by them or the company but because of the government.

Won't happen, someone would buy them. Do you not remember that the government (through Ofcom) forced Murdoch to sell part of or all his stake in ITV? Someone bought that no problem.

was ITV making a loss?

And was it in the same financial climate?

which such a number being dumped all at once not all will go for market value and did the government manage force him to sell at sub value prices with itv?

... NotW was not a loss making paper. Considering NGN was making about £180m profit and TGN was losing about £80m, if Mrudoch wanted to close his loss making operations then The Times and Sunday Times would have closed many years ago.
Indeed, he cross-subsidises the loss making Times and Sunday Times with the profit he gets (got) from his tabloids.

I doubt that they will, Sky have very little competition really so they can pretty much charge what they want... :(
Isn't that what is called a . . . now what is it called . . . hang on a minute, it will come back to me . . . it's on the tip of my tongue . . . ah yes, Isn't that what is called a monopoly?

Just because a company is making a loss doesn't make it worthless. The value of his newspaper brands alone would be considerable. As to what "market value" is and whether or not Mr Murdoch would get close to that if forced to sell, not my problem guv - should have thought about that before becoming an unfit or improper person.

I've wondered about this for a while. BSkyB are the only satellite outlet, and Virgin are the only cable outlet, so who keeps an eye on these to ensure the consumer gets a fair price?

In theory the media and communications watchdog Ofcom. It's not so much about consumers getting a fair price, it's about the level of competition in the market. I'll leave it up to others to decide if Ofcom are doing a good job or not :p

Meh. I wish everyone would stop ganging up on Stockhausen like they are. It's not hard to just accept that he has his own views that you may disagree with. His threads are still politically relevant and are there to provoke discussion on current affairs.

If he offends you that much just put him on your ignore list or don't go into his threads. Hating on him has become a bit of a bandwagon.
