Because, like Pancake, it became very quickly overused. Usually, in true OCUK fashion, people were so desperate to post it first in a thread, they used it in situations where it didn't even make sense.

i see..

well u learn something new everyday. cant see what the difference between pulling a pic form the web rather then imageshack. same thing. in imageshack your still pulling the pic off the exact same place i got mine and just suger coating it with a imageshack link.

Well it's not the same at all is it... Imageshack give you permission to use thier bandwidth. When you hotlink you're using using bandwidth that someone's paying for.
