Gypsy's just lead such a romantic lifestyle. I would love to travel the world.
And just look at Brad Pitt in Snatch. Pureawesomeness? How about a bit of that old bare knuckled fisticuffs, eh?

as long as your not on the recieving end
its not that romantic of a life, as as soon as you pull into an illegal camp, you have police, council, baliffs etc... trying to move them on.
it can be quite stressful

If you're referring to me, I never said such a thing and my comment about Hitler 'having the right idea about Gypsies' was a joke.
I don't think they should be killed, but their ideals should be dissolved. There is no (legal) place for them any longer. What they do is wrong.
I'm aware not all Gypsies are the same but I've never come across (or ever heard of) any decent ones in England, they all seem to cause trouble. Wasters.

I see now Lt, you have spotted a correlation between horse rescue and head trauma, based on the instance of the injured onlooker. Those with head trauma probably save horses, whilst those without probably do not. Something I overlooked when i first read through the story...

We don't know. So far we know that gypsies are scum, that they either don't help drowning horses, or do and are very agile, and that it's sick, just sick.
I can tie those two in together. Often gypsies, at least around here, keep working animals (horses to pull big scrap steel carts). I recon they keep those horses healthy in order to do something 'remotely useful' like remove my crap from the drive.

The scariest thing about gypsies is basically whatever the daily mail editor can conjure up and feed you at any given time. They don't operate outside the law at-all. They do operate a code of silence and a closed community, but when they break the law, and it can be proven/is heavily suspected, they're held to account the same as you or I.

They pay road tax and insurance the same as you or I. Or they get spotted by ANPR and chased around etc. As well you know.
Most of the time they live temporarily on abandoned plots of land, they don't inhabit people's front gardens, the instances of them setting up in working fields etc are far and few between, don't be so dramatic.
Well then there's obviously an issue with the way in which the council assess council-tax requirements/eligibility, because if someone's not obliged to pay, for whatever reason, and yet every person requires a basic service - there's a shortfall that needs to be addressed.
I don't know the first thing about council tax law, but I suspect you'd have to live in a fixed residential property, rather than a portable caravan, or at least dwell on a patch of land for some time. I know that when I go camping I neglect to pay council tax for the duration. Iirc 'camps' need to be in place for a year before tax becomes payable, and ofc most illegal camp sites aren't, so I suppose you should take it up with the law makers. Also, it seems to me that most gypsies at this point live in houses, and so do pay council tax. Again I know next to nothing about it. Obviously far less than the swirling mass of proles in this thread thrashing about in a blind 'daily rage'™.

I've got a lot of respect for the gippos. They just do whatever the hell they want, park anywhere. Police are powerless against their numbers and inability to read one way signs. More likely to accomodate them than arrest them. And their colour coordination at weddings? - fantastic, second to none. Bright Pink and lycra green. Pretty sexy if you ask me.

the thing is, not all gypsies/****** live in caravans, im half gypsie, i posted earlier, my dad was gypsie, i live in a house, full time job, and so on...so do my brother/sister/mum, all got full time jobs, were not tarmaccers or tree fellers, i just think its a bit o.t.t the way some people have generalised the term ***** or gypsie as some sort of scrounging theiving scumbag, iv never stole a thing in my life, i mean fair do's if it was ****** who did it, then they should be punished for it, but c'mon....seriously guys, try not jumping on the whole ***** comunity/race/belief or whatever you want to call it, not all of them are as bad as you think
