I am actually supprised no1 has designed an Apple insurence plan since it's Apple hardware after all.

For a £10,000 claim Feek will be seeing a very large increase.

bit late now but it may be worth looking at http://www.crashplan.com/ use it myself and find it to be excellent.

YES indeed, excellent recommendation, I used to use mozy but switched, its only a fiver a month for crashplan and is a godsend having 'cloud' off site back up.

It would probably be twice the price of normal insurance and have loads of silly caveats.

I really have no idea on the time scale of the new Mac Pros so I've just ordered a new 27" iMac, base spec to tide me over. Once the new Mac Pros are released then I can either pass it onto the family or sell it.

They've not asked for it, it will be disposed of appropriately.

I do think I can get to my Time Capsule data wirelessly so that's a big 'phew'.

My claim has now been settled in full, they made three payments into my account, the first was for the fridge/freezer and then the second main part of the claim was split into two because they'd authorised one payment and then realised they'd missed a number of items off and so there was a further amount paid.
