Hi Guys,

Can you please check below for me please. I plan on buying this weekend.

1 x "Krypton Baronyx" Intel Core i7 2600K 3.40Ghz @ 4.60Ghz Overclocked Bundle £491.98 (Which board??)
(Gigabyte Z68X-UD4 Intel Z68 (Socket 1155) DDR3 Motherboard)
Or
(Asus P8Z68-V PRO Intel Z68 (Socket 1155) DDR3 Motherboard)

1 x OCZ Vertex 2E Bigfoot 240GB 3.5" SATA-II Solid State Hard Drive £279.98 – Should I go for the 3.5” or the 2.5”?
1 x MSI GeForce GTX 570 1280MB GDDR5 PCI-Express Graphics Card £227.99
1 x Samsung SH-B123L/BSBP 12x BluRay ROM / 16x DVD±RW Lightscribe SATA-II Optical Drive £49.99

Total : £1,061.94 or £1041.92 (depending on the mobo)

Any issues with this build?
I will be running Windows 7
I have a Corsair HX620 PSU - should I get a higher wattage PSU?
Is there anything I need to do regarding the SSD drive? It’ll be my first time building with one.

This will be replacing the PC below. The case should be ok for the cooler right?

What are you going to be using it for? If it's mainly gaming, consensus seems to be that Intel Core i7 is overkill and makes no difference to the cheaper i5.

PSU is fine for a single GTX 570.

Consider a i5 2500K unless work involves heavy rendering and very CPU intensive tasks where i7 2600K is better. For gaming the i5 will perform better.

Why buy the bundle? Buy things individually & save money. Overclocking on Sandy Bridge is very easy!

Sounds like a Z68 is a good idea, although the Gigabyte board doesn't have lucid virtu.

A lot of people have been praising the Asrock Z68 Extreme4 as a decent Z68 board with all the bells and whistles!

Yes, mainly gaming, and working from home, watching movies etc.

i7 is over kill then and the i5 is actually a bit better in some games.

If you are able to build the rest of the PC then you might as well forget the bundle and OC yourself. (it's a few clicks with the 2500K and a decent motherboard).

Addtionally the SSD you have included is not the latest tech, it seems a shame to upgrade your motherboard to SATA 6GB/s, spend so much on a SSD and not have it move like the newer ones.

Yeah noticed this too. Real life performance I doubt there'd be a noticeable difference. Guess it comes down to how much space is needed and budget.
