Hotmail spam

I have had this email address since 1998 and never have I had so much junk mail. I'm probably getting at least 100 a day

Anyone else having a similar issue?

I check my Hotmail account every so often and I am usually horrified by the amount of spam in there. Best advice would be to move to Gmail. The difference is like night and day.

Best advice would be to get a Yahoo! Mail account, the new one is awesome, I much prefer it to Gmail.

i have a hotmail account and dont really get that much junk

Just leave them all coming on for a week, let them go into your junk box and then use the sweep facility. It will stop them coming in.

I have a gmail account but its not a cv worthy one

it does appear to get 0 spam tho. I had a yahoo account but that pretty much had 100% spam so ditched that one.

I do use the sweep feature but wonder if this actually blocks anything as its all i seem to be doing.

I have the new style yahoo mail account, it is really good and very easy to use.

Haven't used Gmail yet.

Hotmail is rubbish.

Does yours not filter it out? I've had my Hotmail account since 1998 as well and I get about 5-10 pieces of junk mail a day. All of it is filtered to the spam folder though, so I don't really have any problems with it.

it filters some out. the issue only really started about 4 weeks ago as before that i rarely got any junk mail at all.
