If OcUK was a country what would it be like?

Well thats very few jobs. Most of the population do nit like there jobs. You can not have such a system. It just doesn't work.
What happens if you need to increase. Production. Sorry you have to work 10hours more, for nothing extra.
I hate my job and as I'm not getting anything from it, I might as well do as little as possible.

Who's going to study for a decade to build and maintain robots for the same pay as a shop keeper.

Maybe that's because most people are doing jobs that don't need to be done. Most working in call-centres? Countless shopkeepers when a practically identical shop is literally just next door?

Don't be such a lazy **** and enjoy life a little - don't be stuck with the stigma of 'work' being a bad thing. Do what you want to do as a hobby for a living.

And stop going on about pay, there's no need for it.

Now i'm simply sick of people on here acting like they have an extra goto ten line every time this topic comes up so i'm leaving. You're wrong, get over it, enjoy the ride for once.

And how exactly do I do a hobby as a job, that I can't even afford to do as a hobby with a job.
What are all these people going to do in your paradise?
What happens when 95% of people all want to do about 10 jobs and the other thousands of jobs are empty.

The national dish would be pasty, struck with a fist before consumption.

Tefal would be a one man MI6/CIA/KGB(FSB)/mossad/Stasi style agency that knows all about everyone.

You havn't noticed that most people who've posted in here have gone "lol right wing heheh" despite the few to non right wing suggestions and mostly left wing?

You out number them so it would be like labour Britain/a very big state based country.

It's always been generally regarded that OcUK is more right-wing. We have a young, fairly middle class demographic and the Tories pretty much always come out trumps in any election-esque polls that we have.

The thing with making assumptions based on that is you have two possibly three chocies. None are going to represent what you want. I would expect most people would hold both right, left and central views.

I've always dreamt of buying a large island and creating my own version of a perfect culture. No currency, completely state-run with every job being equal. The better jobs would require greater dedication but would be more fun like game design. The worse jobs like garbage men would mean shorter hours so more time to do whatever you want.

Because there is no currency the only thing you get out of working is the right to live in the country and use its resources as you need them. If you are hungry you would go to a restaurant and eat, no need to pay because nothing the restaurant does costs them anything.

So in short, OCUKland would be the exact opposite of where I want to live.

You've described star trek TNG world, but let me ask you, who cleans the toilets - you never see that do you? I don't see anyone finding their vocation cleaning poop all day.

So what if you have no talents and are chosen to clean poop - slave labour that's what.

Do you really want slaves cleaning your poop and serving you in your free restuarant? That's assuming you aren't one of the slaves, nothing to say you'd elevate to an elite position.
