I'm hardly the best and have managed 163 ace pins, spamming motion mines clearly helps with the score :)

389 here and I mainly use it for it's intended purpose though smoke kills are fun.

you got more than me i think :D

but i like how he ignored my post :o

they should have a neil pin :p replace the uav :D

will be up for some madness later 6-45-7pm start) any other medical conditions stopping u playing tonight neil ? or is it hair washing day :p

Cheeky sod, i'll be on tonight!

You can wash my hair if you want darling ;)

guys i could do with a little insight to a lag issue i have, some servers that i join seem really quite laggy while others that have very similar pings are smooth as silk

when i join a laggy server i normally ping around 80-120 so not overly high,i see guys warping around for a split second but this generally happens for the whole time im on the server , i ran fraps and checked that im not getting any sudden frame drops, which im not, my internet is stable with no issues atm,my pc is more than capable of running bc2

so is it a problem my end or are some servers just laggy even with low pings ?

Just out of interest does anyone have trouble playing this smoothly? Spec in sig but my 460 is currently clocked at 800mhz core and 3908mhz memory.

Game usually hovers and around 35fps and sometimes bombs down to around 15fps when it kicks off. Weird thing is though if i have everything set to high at 1380x768 res and 2xaa and 8xaf it runs pretty much the same as everything in low settings in both Directx 10 and 11. Now installing newest drivers for the 460.

any ideas?

what size monitor you have ?

this game loves quads you should get double your fps at 1680 never mind that res with your card.

so i say cpu is the problem.

my mate used to have a e8200 at 3.2 and i did a benchmark with my p 2 955 at 3.2 with same card same settings i had nealry double fps or considerably higher most of the time.

this is the one game where cpu power really does matter.

I'm running with a 460 + q6800 and it's fine for me

Maybe try running at stock rather than oc since people seem to have trouble with that sometimes :)

A dual core just doesn't cut it in this game.

You can safely up the resolution or AA/AF as it won't have much impact on the performance when your CPU is a bottleneck.

Thanks for the replies :) Dammit i knew it would be my trusty old E8400, shes served me well but after playing over 150hrs on the xbox on BC2 i decided to turn my pc on again and its upgrade time lol.

What CPU would be best for around £100 that would fit in a 775 socket? Dont want to have to replace ram and mobo as im moving house soon.

a nice q6600 G0 would be good they come at 2.4Ghz but the G0's easily clock to near 3ghz and many get them past that with fiddling.
