Some people think a smack in the mouth solves everything :)

Nobody has said that? Just that it's a way of settling a score if the legal channels fail to do so.

Edit - Except for Joshy, who said exactly that and I managed to miss it... :(

HAhaaha!! Black guy is a machine, like a streamline butterfly

Great news OP you sound like a really decent person, glad you got it sorted and good luck with your baby

Dude does indeed own

A smack in the mouth solves everything :).

You may look a little like the younger softer brother of BJ Penn, but really?

Fox is mostly right, his logic of getting there is just flawed is all.

Let's say that the insurance thing didn't work out, there was no CCTV and the guy and his misses still denied complete responsibility. At the end of the day, you're going to end up fronting the bill. You might as well get a bit of satisfaction out of it, especially after he has such a front to write the letter that he did.

I'm far, far, far from a violet man, but there is a line you don't cross and by sending such a smarmy letter through my front door would more or less be my line crossed. Providing of course that all avenues of reaching a successful conclusion had already been exhausted :).

It's a good job not everyone thinks like that really, isn't it?

A shame that to you, satisfaction is punching somebody or pouring paint stripper on a Porsche :(

Someone edit the gif so it says Joshy Broadband

And satisfaction to you is what? Paying the full bill to repair the damage caused by someone else's sheer negligence?

There is no 'satisfaction' to be had out of a situaiton like that. Sometimes stuff just sucks and you've got to get over it. We've all come back to find our cars damaged by some ****, pouring paint stripper or having a punchup isn't going to fix the car and if it gives you 'satisfaction' then, well, I don't know what to say.

Oh, really?

Are you going to tell me that pouring paint stripper on a car fixes your own car?

What's getting your car fixed got to do with anything at this point?

We're talking about getting satisfaction here.

Follow the thread people. I asked Fox what he considered satisfaction to be in this sort of circumstance and he came out with all of that 'Deal with it' crap.

And punching somebody or trashing a car would give you that? Really?

If that sort of thing really gives you satisfaction then I'm really quite glad we dont share the same ideals.

It's not crap. It's what you've got to do. Sometimes stuff just sucks. Beating people up or commiting criminal damage doesn't stop stuff sucking, it just makes you a ****.

The circumstance is all about getting the car fixed though?

We've moved onto getting 'satisfaction' here. Any idiot knows that no amount of nitromores is going to get a crease out of that bumper. What seems to be up for debate is if applying a bit of paint stripper or handing out of bit of a slap makes you an inherently bad person if you get a little bit more satisfaction out of the situation
