Just out of interest does anyone have trouble playing this smoothly? Spec in sig but my 460 is currently clocked at 800mhz core and 3908mhz memory.

Game usually hovers and around 35fps and sometimes bombs down to around 15fps when it kicks off. Weird thing is though if i have everything set to high at 1380x768 res and 2xaa and 8xaf it runs pretty much the same as everything in low settings in both Directx 10 and 11. Now installing newest drivers for the 460.

any ideas?

It may not be your computer.
BC2 for me, ran perfectly fine and smooth since owning it, then around the middle of May there was a PunkBuster update which caused the issue of the PnkBstrB.exe service using a lot of the CPU (40-50%) making the game feel choppy/loss of frame rate.
You could check your task manager when in a BC2 server to see if the above service is using your CPU a lot.
Myself and a few friends (who are also on dual core processors) have this issue as do a lot of people on the EA forums, but it does seem to only affect dual core users.

There is a lot of complaints regarding punkbuster at the moment on steam!

I for one am having problems the longer i play, even when the server match has restarted... the temps are brilliant and the system is stable ;)

played my first online game tonight, some random ranked server.

killed 3 peeps :) happy with that for my first game, been a while since ive played online with the pc, so much different from MAG on the PS3 but enjoying it so much.

That Rush game was EPIC!

I know Neil, i was in your squad earlier mate, i was thinking, get off that bloody uav and bring your ump45 into action, the setter was starting to growl at your lack of groundwork.:D

Guys, what's with the 'Next unlock' window in the bottom right?

I had something like 1000 points to unlock the sensor ball, but it then moved to 686 points to unlock the spotter scope, and now its switched back to the sensor ball saying 6000 points this time to unlock . It's as though i've somehow lost my points to unlock the sensor ball, or the points have been reset or something.

Probably a simple answer, but it's been ages since i actually unlocked a gadget. Lv 23 btw

sometimes it screws up when it updates but don't worry you still have all your points

i get it every day that my next unlock is the radar for vehicles :D

Well im a late comer to the party as i bought this last week in the steam sale. Ive been playing it pretty much non stop all week :D

Annoyingly i am having some problems with it - randomly it keeps switching to windowed mode during play or crashing to desktop or crashing to a white screen. I think a fresh install might be due as its been a while since i last did one.

Looking at getting this on steam, is the complete collection the one to go for, its cheaper than just the bf2, not sure if there is some reason for that? (sorry dont buy much on steam yet)
