Too mature/immature?

Depends on the club. I very much doubt I could have had a good time at Langtrys or Dukes without getting smashed.

10 points if you recognise the clubs or the towns. I have had the Dukes experience :D

Chelmsford.

With regards to the OP - I absolutely love going out for a dance to specific music, but not every weekend. If I go out to music I enjoy, I dont really need any drugs/drink too have a good time, infact recently I've been getting tanked less and less when I go out.

Also the whole 'music' thing - yes there can be some dire music in clubs but generally speaking you can't let something like chart music offend you in that environment.

Last night I went to somewhere playing chart music that I wouldn't listen to in a million years at home - I'm blasting out some slayer right now! But that's the type of music that suits that environment, you have to stop being pretentious and just enjoy what's available - OK Computer is going to sound pretty terrible at a party.

Oh, was anyone at camera in Oxford last night? The standard of the girls there was phenomenal.....!

the last time i went to a club it was too loud and full of kids.

im only 25 :(

its just what you prefer to do.

i did it all from 17-21 and now i would much rather sit in a pub and be able to hear people talking.

It is much better when you naturally prefer the music though, such as where your favourite dj's/bands are playing. You don't have to drink as much to enjoy yourself either.

It really, really isn't :p

Well if you like clubbing, obviously not.

I'm just saying that I don't see the appeal of it, I've been to a few (admittedly probably bad ones) and I thought it was a bit of a farce really :p

I'd rather go to a proper bar or something instead.
