If you had £8000 to spend on a car, what would it be?

Top Gear made me think about this when Clarkson bought the CL600 for just under £7k (I think).

So, not taking into account reliability and running costs (but obviously you don't want something that is going to immediately have a huge amount of issues), what would you go for?

No special requirements here, just something you personally would get on with.

I can't really say at the moment but I do like those CL600's.

Infact he has.. the original owner of the advert I saw was in Manchester and the guy from Newcastle bought it but I guess it's not for him

54 plate or newer Honda S2000. Seems like natural progression from the MX5 with a bit more refinement plus I miss my EP3 CTR.

Or an S2 Elise if possible for that money.
