I'm still on an e6600 2gig ram and a 4850 so DX10 makes no sense to me, I can't afford to be halving my framerates like that. I really think games should still support it, while it's long in the tooth it's good enough for Crysis and I really can't see how BF3 looks so much better than that game that I need to be left behind.
But in this case at least I've been holistically left behind. Even if it supported XP I'd still need a 64bit version, 4gigs of RAM, a better processor and a new graphics card. With JC2 I was really annoyed by the sophistic "XP is 10 years old" argument because there was really no other reason why I'd need to upgrade and the game offered no performance or graphical enhancements for it.
