Are you Homophobic?

I strongly dislike camp men and I mean seriously detest.

Gay people on the other hand are fine, infact my mum is a lesbian and had girlfriends and a civil partenership since she divorced my dad when I was about 8.

The only thing I have noticed is the gay people I have met tend to be a bit issuey, I cant realy explain it but it always seems their sexuality is an easy arguing point for them. So much im gay deal with it etc...

Nonsense like this annoys me.

Why do you care if someones camp? look away and walk away problem solved its not like they are going to jump on you and rape you. Gays are like straights, there are all types, would you feel the same about a camp straight guy?

Why do gays have to stay away from you, if you saw a straight couple walking down the street holding hands i bet you a million quid no one would bat an eyelid, but if it was two guys holding hands they would get looks and abuse, why the double standard?

Also gays can have kids too, there are other ways than the 'correct' way.

I just would just prefer the person not to be gay. Being gay is an undesirable quality in a person. It is not normal.

I dont like tomatos but i dont feel sick when i see them and demand that all tomatos stay away from me, its an illogical response.

What on earth are you on about?

Maybe because they are sick of being beat up, spat at, abused, murdered just for being gay?

Why is it undesirable?

This isn't some central African country. This is Britain.
Yet you read in the news about people being assaulted and kicked until they are so badly injured they die in hospital, my best mate is gay and has a partner, they just mind their own business and like holding hands, the amount of abuse and people spitting at them is disgusting, just because you dont see it doesnt mean it doesnt happen.

WHo out of the 'non-homophobics' have called someone, or an action they take, 'gay'??

I certainly know I have many times .. yet consider myself 100% NOT homophobic.

He has a boyfriend, why do people call it a 'partner'?!
Have you ever thought that people don't approve of what they are doing and think that what they are doing is immoral and disgusting?

You can help your reactions to those dislikes however.

Very true. I don't like it but I don't throw beer bottles at them.

I'm not homophobic.

Even been chatted up a couple of times by men .. just 'no thanks mate' but still carry on talking to them if they're interesting people ..

BUT when playing LFD2 and my mates are going to slowly or being somehow retarded, I will regularly say over the mic they're 'playing like a gay' over skype. The phrase is so common I don't even think of homosexuality when I say it .. its more a 'generic insult'. Hard to explain ..

Point makes perfect sense, if you share the opinion. I've also been chatted up by a few guys (it's inevitable if you go to gay bars) and find it quite flattering. Once or twice they've been a bit gay (hur hur) about taking no for an answer, but you just scale up how firm you are about your lack of interest and they get the point sooner or later.

Nearly got date-raped in a gay bar once. Drank a few too many shots, chucked up in the loo and there was a small white pill floating before the flush which wasn't there when I started. Then a guy I'd chatted to earlier was being a bit too insistent on the dance floor after I'd already rebuffed him once. Nearly ended in a fight, but he disappeared a few minutes later.

Because of what you just said, if you are a guy and say you have a boyfriend then you get the ridiculous crap you come out with slinged at them, if they say partner it could mean boy or girl.
