Data Recovery Companies

Hi,

Can anyone recommend a good professional data recovery company?
I have a corrupted SD card with holiday photos on it and kinda need to get them off if possible. Have tried Zero Assumption Recovery and File Scavenger. Both have recovered files that arent readable and have the wrong extensions. All other recovery programs have failed to yield any results at all.

Have you tried just changing the file extensions to what they should be?

Ontrack Easy Recovery Professional

Have you tired a program called 'Ontrack Easy Recovery Professional'?
Try a raw recovery with it.
The software is very expensive but maybe a mate or your work might have it.

It's free, and if it can't recover your JPEGs then it's 99% certain they aren't coming back I'm afraid. It searches for the hex header that is at the start of (FF D8 FF E0 or E1 if anyone's interested) and then reads through until it finds the footer (FF D9), carves that out and gives you your picture file.

If your memory card's file structure is corrupt, then you won't get your file names or metadata back (file created date, last accessed, etc) but you should be able to get the file data itself back (the image).

No I havent tried it, not the kinda thing work would have either sadly. Shame the demo only does one file.
