Bring me back to windows (Good Spec Laptop needed)

Hi Guys

I have been using a macbook pro for years due to needing it for work (Final Cut Pro) but due to apple dropping the ball on FCPX i am thinking about editing with another program these means i could go back to a windows computer.

I would want the laptop for Work and Games to make it worth the move back to windows it needs to be a good gaming laptop but also to out perform my Macbook pro as i could just install windows on that.

The price of a new MBP is around £2000 if i can find a better windows laptop for less money i will be coming back to windows.

I need something with a screen around 15" nothing much bigger or smaller
DVD burner
Keyboard backlight
Firewire 800

I think you're going to struggle to be honest, the Dell 15z with the i7 comes close in benchmarks but the MBP still tops it. Then again, it's £1000 less so a fair saving. I don't think it has Firewire though.
 
I am thinking of an Acer Aspire Ethos 5943G which is i7 & Ati 5850 or possibly a Toshiba SATELLITE P750-115/114/113 i7 & Nvidia GT540 equipped, all come in about £1000-£1500

However, I fear you won't top a MBP for overall package and performance.
 
Thanks guys, Might have to be an upgrade to a new Macbook pro then and just stick a windows partition on there for games.
